We’re Gitana and Gintaras. For four years before GoKit existed, we explored Iceland ourselves — camping, hiking, and learning firsthand what gear actually holds up against Icelandic weather.

We kept meeting travelers who wanted that same experience but were held back by logistics — flying in bulky gear, buying equipment for one trip, or simply not knowing what works here. So we started GoKit ehf.: gear we’d trust ourselves, rented out to help others explore Iceland the way we do.

In 2026 alone, we’ve already helped over 50 travelers — solo hikers and families with kids alike — get out into Iceland’s wild with the right gear on their backs.
