Terms and Conditions

General Terms

• Prices are listed in EUR (€) for your convenience. 

• By renting from GoKit.is, you accept full responsibility for the use, care, and timely return of all rented equipment.

• If gear is damaged, lost, or stolen, we reserve the right to charge your credit card the full replacement or repair value based on the item’s retail cost.

Rental Periods & Extensions

• Our standard rental term is a minimum of 1 day up to 31 days per booking. If you require a longer rental or custom timeframe, please contact us at info@gokit.is before booking.
• The rental period begins on the date selected during checkout and ends on the return date chosen.
• Early returns will not be refunded.
• If you wish to extend your rental, please email us before your scheduled return date.

Payment Terms

• Full payment is required at the time of booking.
• We accept Visa and MasterCard.

Delivery & Pickup

• Delivery and/or pickup service is available within the capital area.
• We offer delivery, but only upon special request.
• We do not offer delivery outside the capital area.

Responsibility & Use

• All rented gear is used at the renter’s own risk.

• GoKit.is is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred while using the rental equipment.

• Renters are also responsible for any additional users of the rented gear.

• Please inspect your gear upon receipt. If anything appears missing or defective, contact us immediately at info@gokit.is.

• We do not offer insurance for rented gear.

• You are fully responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any item during your rental period.

Cancellations & Refunds

If you need to cancel your rental booking, the following cancellation policy applies:

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to info@gokit.is. The cancellation takes effect once confirmed by our team.

Security Deposit

Deposit Requirement
For certain rental items (such as child carriers or high-value gear), a refundable security deposit may be required. The specific deposit amount will be clearly indicated on the product page and automatically added at checkout.

Purpose of Deposit
The deposit serves as a guarantee against loss, damage, excessive wear, late returns, or failure to return the rented gear.

Refund of Deposit
Deposits are refunded in full within 2-3 business days after the gear has been returned, inspected, and confirmed to be in acceptable condition.
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Deductions from Deposit
We reserve the right to deduct part or all of the deposit in the event of:

• Missing items or accessories

• Damage beyond normal wear and tear

• Late return fees

• Unreasonable soiling or misuse of equipment

If deductions are made, an itemized summary will be provided.

No Refund of Deposit Due to Breach of Terms
If the customer breaches any terms of the rental agreement, we reserve the right to withhold the full deposit.
