Description

Husky beast 3 (extreme lite)

Husky was established in 1997 and has matured into a respected name in outdoor gear, building credibility through rigorous product testing and responsiveness to user feedback.

The Husky Beast 3, part of the Extreme Lite series, is a lightweight, double-wall tent designed for three people, but we recommend it for two people. Ideal for bicycle touring, trekking, or relaxed camping, it offers a great blend of portability, durability, and comfort.

The Beast 3 is a favorite for rental services in Iceland due to its balance of lightweight and weatherproof build—especially useful for unpredictable climates.

Sleeping space: approximately 175 × 215 × 130 cm (W × L × H)

Weather Resistance & Practicality

  • The outer rainfly and floor boast high waterproof ratings—6,000 mm and 10,000 mm water columns, respectively—offering strong protection in wet conditions.

Bestway Wanderlite Sleeping Pad - 6.5cm

The Bestway WanderLite is a compact, rectangular inflatable sleeping pad designed specifically for warm-weather backpacking and camping. It rolls up into a remarkably small packed size—smaller than a standard water bottle—making it an excellent space-saving solution for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts.

Specs — Regular (Fits Standard Sleeping Bag)

  • CrossWing™ design featuring angled air pockets keeps you centered and comfortable—minimizing that annoying roll-off when sleeping.
  • Dimensions (inflated): ~188 cm × 58.5 cm × 6.5 cm (74″ × 23″ × 2.5″)
  • Weight: ~543–549 g (about 1 lb 3 oz)

High Peak Wildmark Sleeping Bag

High Peak sleeping bags are designed to provide reliable warmth and comfort for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you’re trekking, camping, or backpacking in colder seasons. A sleeping bag with a rating down to –12 °C belongs in the four-season category, making it suitable for use in late autumn, winter, and early spring in regions where temperatures often drop well below freezing.

Key Features You Can Expect:

  • Mummy Shape: Most cold-weather High Peak sleeping bags come in a mummy design. This reduces excess air space and helps retain body heat more effectively than rectangular bags.

  • Insulation: High Peak uses synthetic fibres such as Dura Loft, which are durable, quick-drying, and maintain insulation properties even in damp conditions. This makes them practical for unpredictable weather.

  • Temperature Rating: A bag rated to –12 °C usually refers to its limit temperature — meaning an average sleeper can remain warm if properly dressed. Comfort ratings are typically higher (around –5 °C to –7 °C),

I rented the Husky Beast 3 camping kit for a week-long trip around Iceland, and it made our experience so much easier. The tent is incredibly sturdy — we faced strong winds and occasional rain, and it held up perfectly.

I rented the camping kit for my Iceland 7-day trip and it was amazing! The tent was easy to set up and kept me cozy and dry even on windy, rainy nights. Having the full kit ready to go made everything so convenient – no stress about packing gear from home. It honestly made my camping adventure in Iceland so much more enjoyable!
